LICENSED PSYCHOLOGIST
Serving Maryland Clients
I am a licensed psychologist serving clients ages 5 and older at Playful Therapy Connections through in person comprehensive testing services in North Bethesda, Maryland.
I have worked with clients across the lifespan in college counseling centers, community mental health, Veteran's Affairs Hospitals, and inpatient and outpatient psychiatry settings.
After my undergraduate studies and before pursuing my doctoral degree to become a psychologist, I served with an AmeriCorps national service program. In my two years serving as a City AmeriCorps member in Philadelphia, PA, I supported elementary and middle school students academically, as well as helped students and other City Year service members build social-emotional skills.
What does my experience mean for you as my client? My academic and professional experiences have prepared me to work with clients of diverse identities in a collaborative and nonjudgmental manner.
I will work with you to co-create a testing environment where your needs are centered and you feel supported.
I strongly believe that you are the expert! It is with our combined expertise that we can most effectively develop insights, understand how your brain works and identify next steps.

Outside of the office, you can find me on the volleyball court, taking a walk, spending time with family and friends, enjoying a dessert, or absorbed in a good book!
I love to work with clients who are first/second generation Americans, Black or other POC, and queer-identified, or other intersections.

Why did you decide to become a psychologist?
As cliche as it sounds, I pursued psychology because I wanted to help people.
In high school, I took an Intro to Psychology class and loved it and that led me to major in Psychology.
I quickly found a passion in Africana Studies that led me to a double major in Africana Studies with a focus on the Caribbean. As I moved through undergrad, I saw how there was a lack of meaningful integration between my two majors and knew that I could bring psychology and Africana Studies together to positively impact mental health for people in the African Diaspora.
